These benefits apply to PRHA and Kipper Project staff.
As part of our commitment to our staff we offer a generous benefits package. The following benefits are a combination of contractual and non-contractual benefits and, on review, may change from time to time.
Core Benefits
Pension :
We offer a group stakeholder pension scheme with 5% employer's contribution.
Life Assurance:
Employees are covered to a level 3 times their annual salary.
Holidays:
As from 1 April 2011, employees receive up to 25 days annual leave (depending on the role) plus bank holidays, rising to 32 days with service.
Variable Benefits
Travel:
Employees can take out a Season Ticket loan to help spread travel costs.
Health and Wellbeing
Medical :
PRHA employees are automatically enrolled in Health Shield's "Cash Back" Scheme. The Scheme offers a range of benefits including contributions towards dental costs, physiotherapy or osteopath consultation, health screening, personal accident protection and discounted gym and health club membership. PRHA employees can opt to pay an additional premium to increase their own Health Shield cover, and to gain cover for a partner and family members.
For VDU users, PRHA will pay for an eye test and will contribute £50 towards spectacle costs.
Occupational Health :
Health assessments, annual flu jabs, workplace assessments.
Staff Counsellor:
PRHA has a Staff Counsellor available to its staff. All sessions are conducted on a strictly confidential basis.
Employee Assistance Programme
All staff have access to Health Shield's 24 hour helpline which offers health, medical and legal advice as well as counselling.
Work/Life Balance

As part of our commitment towards developing our staff, we support a number of training initiatives:
Core training programme:
Role-specific skills are covered in induction. Ongoing training needs are met through a range of in-house and external courses.
Personal Development:
We offer a range of professional development programmes including NVQs and further education.
Study Leave:
Employees are entitled to up to 3 days study leave plus time off for the actual exams.
